Hello Hammerhead Families,

Sorry for the long email but PLEASE READ ALL!

We hope everyone is enjoying the final weeks of swim team and looking forward to Champs. Each year, our teams within the St Johns Summer Swim League come together at champs to give back to our community. The effort this year will be for Kim'sOpenDoor.com. This organization supports educational services to underserved children right here in our area. To participate, each team is asking their families to purchase items from this Amazon Gift Registry. Whichever team collects the most points wins a trophy - which we currently hold! If you are able to contribute, please forward your receipt by July 11th to our email address [email protected]. To keep things simple, please ship the items directly to Kim's Open Door. We will tally up the points for our team by July 11th, to hopefully bring home the philanthropy trophy again this year! Thanks to all of you for your continued support in giving back to our community.

Next, we are excited to share that we have had close to 250 RSVPs for our End of the Year Banquet! Due to the record turnout, we had to find a facility to accommodate such a large group. We thought we had Wards Creek locked down, but there have been changes in school district procedure that proved challenging.

The incredible EOY Banquet committee worked diligently to find additional options and we have received confirmation and approval to utilize Good News Church, however it will be on Monday, July 18th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. We will be serving pizza, drinks and a treat. In addition we will be celebrating accomplishments from Champs and the season. You do not want to miss the famous individual Paper Plate Awards created and given by the Junior Coaches to each swimmer.

We truly apologize for any inconvenience this causes and we hope that you are able to still join us. If you have already RSVP'd and are able to attend on Monday, do NOTHING. If you are no longer able to attend or if you are now able to attend (and have NOT RSVPd), please email us at [email protected] ASAP.
